The European Association of Wine Economists (EuAWE) is a prominent organization in the field of wine and alcoholic beverage economics, dedicated to examining and analyzing the economic, commercial, and cultural aspects of the wine industry.

The 5th EuAWe conference welcomes all scholars and practitioners interested in presenting their research results related to the fields of wine (and spirits and other alcohols), such as economics, statistics, and business, but also topics that overlap with adjacent fields like (but not limited to) psychology, neuroscience, history, linguistics, law, viticulture and enology.

The conference aims at offering a comprehensive overview of the key challenges and opportunities that the wine industry must confront in an ever-changing world.

It promises to be a thought-provoking event for wine enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, shedding light on the evolving landscape of the wine world and the strategies needed to thrive in this dynamic environment.

Submission

We consider all topics related to the fields of wine economics (including topics related to economics, statistics, and business, including submissions that overlap with adjacent fields such as - but not limited to - psychology, neuroscience, history, linguistics, law, viticulture, and enology)

The submission should be written in English and includes in ONE SINGLE DOCUMENT:
- A title with the following elements: name of the author(s) and emails, affiliation(s), name of the presenter(s), address(es), and keywords (up to 4).
- An extended abstract, ranging from 800 to 1600 words, references included. Up to 3 images or graphs or tables maximum.

Submissions should be sent as ONE SINGLE document (word or pdf)

Registration

EuAWE is an open event. People from all over the world  can attend the conference. Everyone willing to participate (including authors or just observers) must use the procedure outlined below.

There is no paper submission fee.  Please, note that the inclusion of the paper in the conference program and the publication of the paper in the conference proceedings is subject to the payment of the registration fee and each paper must be presented live at the conference. Each author and co-author of a same article needs to pay their registration. Acknowledgment of registration will be sent after receiving your payment. Accompanying person is a family member or a friend, not a co-author.

The category (early/late) of the registration fees is determined by the date the payment is made, not the date of registration. Registrants should start the procedure as early as possible to allow for sufficient time to process the registration.

Invoicing
All registered participants will receive an invoice after completing the payment. Please fill the required information on the payment link. If you need an invoice with specific information on it to proceed with the payment, please contact contact@euawe.com

FEES

Conference fees

This fee includes access for one (1) person to all the EuAWE sessions and events,participation in the scientific program, welcome reception with badge and materials,coffee breaks, luncheons, Gala dinner and social dinner.as well as technical visit and lunch.

The EARLY-BIRD PAYMENT of the registration to the conference must be made between February 28th and April 6th, 2026.

The LATE REGISTRATION PAYMENT of the registration to the conference must be made between April 7th and April 26th 2026 at Noon (French time).

GETTING TO TRIESTE AND KOPER

Trieste andKoper are approximately 25 km apart. The two cities are easily accessible byair and are wellconnected to the motorway and railway networks. The closest airports areTrieste, Treviso and Venice in Italy, and Ljubljana in Slovenia.

1) TriesteAirport  - Trieste Airport is directly servedby the Trieste Airport railway station, whichis connected to Trieste Centrale by 48 regional trains and 6 high-speed trains daily(Trenitalia). Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.

2) TrevisoAirport - Urban bus no. 6 (MOM service) connects the airport (Aeroporto Canova stop) with Treviso Centrale railway station(Stazione FS – De Gasperi stop) in about 15 minutes, or with the directconnection service Treviso Airlink. Treviso and Trieste are connected bynumerous daily train services.

 3) VeniceMarco Polo Airport - Urban bus no. 15 (ACTV service) connects theairport (Aeroporto Marco Polo stop) with Venezia Mestre railway station (MestreFS stop) in 25 minutes. Venezia Mestre is the mainland railway station, whileVenezia Santa Lucia is in the historic citycenter.

 4) LjubljanaAirport (link)- The Brnik/Airport Ljubljana – Ljubljana AP bus lineconnects the airport with Ljubljana Central Station. From there, participantscan reach Trieste Centrale by train (viaVilla Opicina), or by coach (FlixBus or Itabus, approx. 1.5 hours).

 All four airports are served by shared transport services, such as GoOpti and NomagoShuttle. Urban transportin Trieste is managed by TPL FVG. Bus tickets can be bought in multiple sales points, as wellas through the official TPL FVG app (Android/iOS), or on the bus with most credit/debitcards (1 ticket per card per trip).
